This is our top choice for those on a budget. For under £40, most picnic baskets fall apart practically as soon as you look at them, but this one surprised us with its robustness and quality. The plastic plates and cutlery are attached to the lid, while the main section is split in half – one side for the glasses and napkins, the other for food that needs keeping cool in the insulated bag. We’re not going to pretend it has quite the finish of its pricier contemporaries – but we think it’s absolutely brilliant, especially for the price
There are obviously more expensive ones out there with glass and china but when picnic-ing with children you don’t want the worry of breakages. The cooler section is ideal as my family enjoy picnics on the river.
It is honestly much bigger than I thought and looks really expensive, I can’t wait to go on a picnic! I tried a bottle of wine on the cooler side and it fits. You could also add another cooler bag if you needed one. It is ideal for a family of four and not too cumbersome.
