What better way to make use of a glut of blackberries than to make blackberry vodka? You can experiment with different amounts of sugar but blackberries are quite tart so a little helps bring out the berry flavours.
The Easy Way To Make Delicious Bramble Vodka
Blackberry vodka liqueur recipe is the quickest and simplest wild fruit spirits to make.
Ingredients
- 375g frozen blackberries
- 175g caster sugar
- 4 cloves
- 700ml vodka
Instructions
Tip the blackberries into a freezer bag and freeze until solid
Mix the frozen fruit, sugar and cloves in a bowl, then spoon into a sterilised 1-litre preserving jar
Top up with the vodka. Seal the jar and store the blackberry vodka in a cool, dark place for 3 months – give it a shake now and then, every day if you can, for the first 2 weeks.
After 3 months, strain the cloves and fruit from the vodka and discard; return the flavoured vodka to the jar.
